Our Approach
The first step in tackling any new project starts with a clear definition of the assignment and the roles and responsibilities of all involved participants, the determination of the project team and budget constraints, and the development of a realistic project schedule. With new technology, changes to the present workplace and business processes, creative solutions are an essential part of today's design concepts. It is imperative to work together with the client, listen well, and educate the users as to suitable alternative solutions.
The project scope of work must identify the internal functions as well as the personality and operational style of the client group. It is essential that all key personnel feel comfortable with the design process and feel accountable for the end results. Key issues must be raised, reasonable options explored, and preferred solutions packaged for review and approval. Meetings should be held where appropriate to expedite the projectand be attended by all relevant consultants.
The format of deliverables should be discussed to ensure that they are suitable for the assignment and establishing milestones and ongoing status reports, which conform to the schedule, is vital. Ongoing communication is a key to the development of creative design solutions. A review of preliminary budgets at an early stage ensures the expectations of the client group are met. Setting realistic schedules with time for co-ordination and review is necessary.
